In Fiskars, we have always put a great deal of effort to make our world famous orange scissors superior in functionality, ergonomics and quality. Our philosophy matches beautifully with Karen Bit Vejle’s. We are proud of our products that make cutting and crafts enjoyable for everyone but can also help in creating something as unique as Bit’s art in her extremely skilled hands.

Fiskars started manufacturing its orange scissors in the late 1960s. Fiskars’ orange scissors were the first scissors in the world with plastic handles. Over the years the ergonomics of the scissors have been refined and the manufacturing technique improved. The success of Fiskars’ orange scissors rests on long-term, continuing product development. The cutting angle of the blades and precision sharpening ensure that the blade cuts along its entire length, smoothly and cleanly. The blades of the scissors are stainless, tempered steel. The handles in hard, tested plastic sit well in the hand, supporting the cutting action. The joint between blade and handle is durable and hygienic.

Internationally acclaimed designer Olavi Lindén is behind the scissors’ current design. For more information on the scissors, send a mail to Siru Nori (Communications Manager, Fiskars homeware) or call at +358 40 550 3087.
